Poker stars Noah Nodine and Andy Robinson emerged as frontrunners as Day 1a of the WSOP Circuit Tulsa $1,700 Main Event concluded with 26 survivors from 159 entries. After 15 intense levels spanning nearly 12 hours, Nodine claimed the overnight chip lead with 723,000, closely followed by eight-time Circuit ring winner Andy Robinson (657,000).

Robinson, boasting $1.4 million in live earnings, extended his remarkable form after securing his latest Circuit title just 24 hours prior in the $400 Turbo event. Defending champion Will Berry (149,000) successfully navigated Day 1a, keeping his title defense hopes alive.

Notable eliminations included Dan Lowery, Rania Nasreddine, and John Reynolds. Play concluded during Level 15 (3,000/6,000/6,000) with 24 minutes remaining on the clock.

2025 WSOP Circuit Tulsa Main Event Preview

The $1,700 Main Event – centerpiece of the WSOP Circuit Tulsa series – begins March 14 at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tulsa. Defending champion Han Feng will attempt to repeat his 2024 victory where he outlasted 472 players to claim $144,413.

Tournament Structure Highlights:

  • Starting stack: 40,000 (200 BB)
  • Day 1 levels: 40 minutes
  • Late registration: Through Level 13
  • Re-entry allowed: Once per starting flight
  • Play concludes when 16% field remains

The three-day championship features dual Day 1 flights (March 14-15) with survivors combining for Day 2 on March 16. Players failing to advance from Day 1a get a final chance in Day 1b.
